A moment of remembrance — On this date in 2000, Charles Schulz passed away, and the last original “Peanuts” strip was published the next day, Feb. 13, 2000.

    I sure hope so, Chuck.

Incidentally, I saved the comics page from the day after Schultz died, where pretty much every other comic strip was a Peanuts tribute. A lot of footballs laying in empty fields that day…

Good ol’ Charlie Brown. He never lets anything keep him down for long.

The philosophy and humor of “Peanuts” has added immeasurably to human culture.
Rest in peace, Charles Schultz – your legacy is secure.

I would’ve gotten that wrong too. My husband had an uncle who pronounced it horse’s doofers.
