I have read through the entire nearly 50 years of Peanuts. Now, I’m going to start all over again!

Shultz died the very next day – If he had lasted 8 more months (to October 2), Peanuts would’ve ran unsyndicated for 50 years – how tragic

Actually he died the night before this final strip was run/published.

Thus ends a tradition. Sparky died the day before this strip ran, so this strip ran with his obituary:

    Charles Monroe Schultz
    1922-11-26 —— 2000-02-12

    He will be missed.

For those wanting to reread the strip from the beginning, one can find the first strip here:

Many fans like to read strips from the beginning. GoComics.Com should have a button taking people to the first of each strip. As it is, if one wishes to start reading from the beginning, one must luckup the startdate on WikiPedia.Org and enter that date into the URL.

If you start over at the beginning and read each month of this strip every day, it would take you around 19 months to finish it! Quite a legacy there
