This is the first appearance of Sally, Charlie Brown’s little sister. She was actually mentioned earlier. She began as an infant similar to Schroeder. Her first words were in thought balloons and she briefly inherited her older brother’s trait of feeling down all the time. Sally developed more as a character as she gained other familiar traits such as easily being confused and having a crush on Linus.
