Whether you're persnickety like Lucy, a philosopher like Linus, a joyous Flying Ace like Snoopy, or a lovable underdog like Charlie Brown, there is something to touch your heart or make you laugh in Peanuts.

Odd how Schroeder (and later Lucy) gets introduced as a baby yet later he’s the same age as Charlie Brown.

If Schroeder is a child, than Charlie Brown must be a… Never mind.
Anyway, this is the first appearance of Schroeder. He was originally used for baby gags. He later evolved into a piano-playing prodigy. Yes, he did start playing a toy piano when he was still a baby. Somehow, he later became Charlie Brown’s age. It was not uncommon for “Peanuts” characters to rapidly age so they could fit in with the rest of the cast.
