Not really.
Patience. The 1970’s revolutionary generation will pass. We don’t want to drive the new generation to the fundamentalist camp.

The Iranian leadership may be fundamentalist, but much of the populace is more liberal, if not pro-western.

The Iranian people want to show that they don’t like being pushed around. It is a big concession for the Ayahtolla to reverse his decision and call for an investigation. It may not amount to much but it is a conciliary gesture.

Nomad, I served as an election judge in Minnesota for several years (I did not serve in this last one). Most of the state is about 50/50 leaning towards Republican with the more rural areas and a few affluent TC suburbs more so. Our state and local representation reflects that.
