‘But we still have hope … we hear of this great movie series with elves in it…’
“Uh… how do I put this?’

By the look of their noses those elves are Vernus Testudinidae.

My thanks to Lewis & Fry for introducing a new vocabulary word – disintermediation ! My spell check didn’t know it, Mirriam Webster to the rescue.

Went to Google because my dictionary is so old I didn’t bother with it. Besides, Google was right here. And my thanks to Lewis and Fry too.

That elf sitting in the stocking bears a striking resemblance to our beloved Verne, him more that the others.

The story above is wrong about why the elves were laid off. Actually, Santa outsourced the entire operation to a Chinese megafactory, the elves who wouldn’t go were fired. You don’t want to know what happened to the reindeer !! (But watch for a new special item at McDonalds.)
