Euphemisms are so obscene now, they hide what obscenities are being done like this.

funny thing about “downsizing”. companies that have done it routinely have gone out of business because they didn’t consider what the people downsized were doing.

‘Well, then, don’t think of what I’m about to do as embezzlement … think of it as redistributing company assets.’

That comes from taking the ‘person’ out of personnel and replacing it with ‘human resource’. They don’t realize that resources are only unknowing commodities and persons are knowledgeable assets to any endeavor. Downsizing removes experience, intuition and loyalty.

Another unintended consequence of ObamaCare. Or, replace him/her with someone working four seven hour days. New business model: stay under 50 employees, or put everyone at 50 or over on a 28 hour week. Or, you could have one employee on three eight hour days and another on two days. This would make the employment numbers go up without “cooking” them.

Rick Scott, you know nothing, they have been doing that very same thing since Roosevelt. In 1971, I worked at Krogers. I wasn’t allowed to work more than 35 hours….Guess why…Republican businessmen have always hated the 40 hour rule. Republicans are just making it easier for the people with money to screw the people who need money…You fell asleep in history class a lot, didn’t you?
