    It certainly would! The problem is that MOST consequences
    are unintended, and usually outweigh the intended one.

    H’mmm … saw something similar in Heavy Metal.(the magazine, not the movie.)

    Pan-Spermia is another more sexy name for it. But if as it appears to be that life turns up far more commonly than it was previously thought the life could have formed on our world and out into space. It may have formed twice with the first time before the Mars sized planet hit us and from it became Terra an Selene aka Luna.

    But life had to begin somewhere, if it hadn’t there would be no critters with their gloop pump.

    @Rad-ish

    It’s much more to the liking of many ‘science-minded’ ones, though, to put that kind of thinking in the gloop bin.
    An increasing number of bio-chemists, however, are beginning to consider the incredible complexity of living things; their apparent DESIGN; and the inconvenient problem of the Second Law of Thermodynamics: stuff breaks down into simpler forms rather than becoming more complex.

    The key word here being: “Theory”.
    We’re not here by some cosmic burp.

    Right.
    ‘Theory’ vs ‘Law’ (of thermodynamics).

    You’re not actually trying to foist some Intelligent Design nonsense on us here, are you?
    Didn’t that stuff go out with The Stork or Scientology?

    You have to have a lot of faith to believe in gloop.
