Nick Anderson of the Houston Chronicle is an avowed independent who covers politics and contemporary cultural issues in a way that connects with readers. His loose, idiosyncratic style carries with it an unconventional message that has broad appeal. "I approach my work with a healthy skepticism for the ideological extremists littering our political landscape," explains Anderson.

To all the people who say it is not the unions that are not causing this. Let them buy the recipe or develope a new one and compete on the open market.
All of those union reps can colectivly buy the recipe and keep the busines running if they really cared about the workers. All they care about is if you pay your union dues.

In Tennessee, The Brass of one Union costs their Members 1/2 of their compensation, and The Brass of another Union cost their members their jobs.
Triumph Aerostructures walked off the Production Lines because the Union Brass told them the compensation Triumph offered was not enough. They were on Strike for 15 months. Triumph tried to work with the Union, the Union would not come to the bargaining table. Triumph Management went to The Davidson County Labor Board and presented them with the Contract he Union walked away from. The DC Labor Board agreed it was a fair contract, and Triumph asked and was granted permission to hire replacement workers as long as they gave notice to Union Members to be back on the Production Lines or they would be replaced. The Union signed a new contract with 1/2 the compensation they went on strike over, yes this was also approved by the DC Labor Board.
The UAW was on Strike against the Peterbilt Plant in Madison Tennessee. Peterbilt told the UAW if they were not back on Production Lines by set date, they would move production from Madison Tennessee to their non-union plant in Texas. The UAW Brass told their members Peterbilt was bluffing to force them to accept less money. The UAW did not report to the Production Lines by the set deadline and Peterbilt moved production to their non-union plant in Texas.
Unless the Baker’s Union agrees to the Contract offered by Hostess, they will all lose their jobs.
If your a member of a Union, your rights are restricted, you must do exactly what the Union Brass tells you to do,and it will cost them compensation and or their jobs.

The Union Brass do not give a flip about their members, they only care about making more money off the backs of their members, the only way for Union Brass to get more money is if Union Members pay increases is for their members pay to increase as they can take a larger percentage of the union members pay in union dues.

I’ve been saying for years that the U.S. is doomed. After you’ve had your little nuclear civil war the rest of the world will move on. It was nice knowing you…

Hostess is already based in Texas, moved from Missouri. Hmm, that funny white filling in the Twinkies, notice the Taco Bell chihuahua is gone?

Howgozit, I replied to you on the toon preceding this one. You asked about guilt trips and made an inaccurate statement.
Don’t know if you saw it before this toon took over.

‘Save the earth’ is not defined.
Save the twinkie can be done.
The medical pot (and illegal users) will have to find another kind of munchie.

There are very few industries I’d ever concider working for a union. Hollywood might be one.
