Nancy was created by Ernie Bushmiller in the 1930s. Since 1995, the strip has been drawn and written in Bushmiller's classic style by Guy and Brad Gilchrist. Nancy is famed for its gentle humor and surrealistic sight gags. Nancy's childlike innocence never wavers. She remains a devoted friend to her pal Sluggo, and can be, depending on the situation, a conceited prima donna or a fun-loving, cute and cheeky little girl.

For 60 years, I’ve been unable to stomach Jerry Lewis. To each his own, I guess.

I think, eventually, Jerry Lewis couldn’t stomach Jerry Lewis….

Screw Jerry Lewis! Eddie Murphy was always the better Nutty Professor.

I can’t stomach Jerry Lewis, either.
Hate to say it, but sometimes wish he died and Dean Martin lived.

Screw Eddie Murphy! Jerry Lewis was always the better Nutty Professor by far!

Lewis’ “Nutty Professor” IS a funny movie . . . in a creepy, Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde kind of way. Why would anyone want to have Buddy Love as a lover or friend?!?

Who’s Minding The Store is still one of his best films and the typewriter scene is one of the best scenes in all of motion pictures.

There should be a law, no remakes, ever. Make your own durn movie, don’t copy someone else’s! Especially Star Trek! Argh!
And, in the words of The Highlander, “There Shall Be Only One!”. Quit making sequels!

Eddie Murphy is funny, but he couldn’t hold a candle to Lewis. If he couldn’t swaer Murphy, or any of the other comedians would have nothing to say. Check out Lewis’s bit with the typewriter song.

While Eddie Murphy’s remake of TNF was very good, I consider the original w/ Jerry Lewis superior for many reasons. (1) In the scene where Buddy Love transforms back into Prof Kelp, Jerry does it with no special camera tricks. Murphy, however, was dependent on computer effects. (2) Professor Kelp and alter ego Buddy Love were obvious caricatures of the characters portrayed by Jerry Lewis & Dean Martin in their early films together. (3) Jerry truly showed his talent as more than a 1-dimensional actor in this movie. (4) It was a brilliant parody of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde. Jerry is truly a most under-rated comic genius.

Some women see nasty guys like Buddy Love as a challenge believing the love of a good woman can change them for the better..

I thought Jerry Lewis was funny in those movies when I saw them as a kid, but after I got a little older, I didn’t think he was funny at all. The Three Stooges, on the other hand, still crack me up, especially Curly.

It would have been better if somehow they had been watching The Day The Clown Cried (look it up).
