Maria is a kid who sees things her own way- and expects the world to see it her own way too! Her friend Joey is more practical. He helps keep her grounded, though that’s as easy as handling a Thanksgiving balloon in a hurricane. Sue is special and she knows it- better than anyone. She’s writing her autobiography now, but she’ll live it later. Bob takes things slower. Ms. Payne is their teacher- she enjoys her job, she truly does. She’d enjoy it even more without the students.

Warning: Nerd Alert!
Sorry Sue, Maria could be right. There exists both Dark Jedis and Sith – see the book Darth Bane:Dynasty of Evil. The difference between the two usually is that a Dark Jedi thinks only about himself whereas the Sith seek to destory Jedi.

@LarsMN
The Thrawn Trilogy is also a great read that includes Dark Jedi (and was a great follow-up to the original trilogy).

The Sith are the opposite of Jedi. Jedi are selfless and control their emotions. The Sith revel in emotions, don’t care about others and want unlimited power as per Darth Sidious.

Keep in mind that Sue is a little kid, and doesn’t have all the answers. In any school on any day, some kid is feeding another kid misinformation. And sometimes even when the other kid was right, they end up believing the false info.
