See? Gunther wasn’t being forced into this. He thought that because Mrs. B “kept him close” and because he never saw her any other way, that what he was doing with his plans and goals was all that there is . Mrs. B has been learning from her experiences, and is trying to help Gunther to not “pigeonhole” himself… a little forethought is better than even a lot of hindsight….

Sort of…maybe…perhaps…well, you might be right (about “dating” ourselves LOL I remember dancing to that in the middle seventies with the guy I eventually married! I can still hear it…was a great tune to dance to! ;)

And “Mild Thing” by “Peon Russet and the Sheltered People”……

But of course, “the Buffaloes” got a kick out of their song, as it made the “hot 1,000”, but “ran out of sauce” not too long after.

After “Mild Thing” played for 5 minutes, their only copy of the record somehow disappeared, the group disbanded, joined a canasta league, and the record was never heard, again…

Now we see why Mrs. Berger had the door removed from Gunther’s and Quill’s bedroom.

Your remembrance of all these songs still amazes me! But, then, my hub can do the same thing…only it is about movies and the actors and their stories and what was behind the movie’s premise and why they were where they were, etc. My eyes tend to glaze over…I don’t even remember the premise of most of today’s movies (guess I am not the “action-adventure” type)! Unless it is “Star Wars” or “Star Trek” or other science- fiction movie, I’m there. If the movie has a great storyline to it (eg. “Sophie’s Choice”, “The Pianist” and other quality dramas,) I’m there, too! ;)

Gunther’s Comfort Zone is less than one square foot.
