What does the alligator get out of this deal?
SherlockWatson said, 2 months ago
It takes a lot of balls to try a stunt like that.
(Yes, I did just say that.)
OpenWings said, 2 months ago
He should get 25c per ball, plus a cracking bonus for the way he’s managing to hold onto that armload of balls! :o)

It’s good to have capable business partners, Lio! –Now we know where Lio gets at least some of his cash!
rayannina said, 2 months ago
Lio keeps 1/2 the money, buys raw meat with the other 1/2 and gives it to Smiley. Everyone wins.

Lio is a great entepreneur. He will always be successful. His dad should take lessons from him instead of being scornful.

^I never thought of his dad as scornful. If anything, I’ve always considered his father pretty supportive of Lio’s eccentricities. Not that every parent isn’t fed up with their kids now and then.

Very clever. It’s amazing how many friends you have Lio.

nah, the gator gets his bed cleaned. poor thing is probably -er-fed to the teeth with being hit on the head etc with random golf balls. But i’m with Rayannina. Lio loves animals. he’d probably buy him a steak or three for his help.-incedently been there done that minus the gator. i lasted a whole 2 hours and ran into a snapping turtle, called dericke who showed up with scuba gear to get the turtle and balls out. we sold the balls and moved the turtle to a big mangrove grove where he probably still is.

I met that gator on a golf course near Charleston SC: she was surrounded by golf balls, I guess all the other golfers opted for the free drop instead of playing their balls where they were lying.

I grew up on a farm that bordered a golf course and used to make a fair bit of pocket money finding and selling the lost balls. We’d always end up with bags of balls that were sliced or dinged and worthless. My favorite thing to do with them was hid in the bushes near one of the greens, wait until a couple of balls rolled onto the green, and then quickly empty the bags all around them then run back into the bushes. The look on the golfer’s faces when they got to the green was hilarious.

Alligators have broad U-shaped snouts. Made for cracking turtle shells and scoping up golf balls.

Doesnt make much sense to tax a non-producer.
