There are plenty of conservatives who smoke pot. Neither side will legalize anything as long as our congress is getting paid to keep it illegal. The CIA is still our biggest importer of hard drugs.
Wow, liberals are in denial of getting high off reefer. Everyone in my high school was getting high, even the teachers (this was the late 70’s). jonesb, could you prove your allegations of the CIA importing drugs?
I’m with you on everything but the CIA assertion. When I was in Vietnam, the CIA was running drugs all over the place. Now I think it is the DEA that is our biggest drug seller.
The feds have been cracking down on medical marijuana growers in Oregon in the past year. The stupidity is in classifying marijuana as a “Class One narcotic”, as it is NOT a narcotic. The federal laws and definitions need to be revised to eliminate the “reefer madness” stupidity.
As to Rush and those using/selling illegal oxycodone, that IS where the focus, and boot should come down, as with meth, and opiates. Rush, by his own “stanaard” before HE got busteed, should be serving a life term.
I love the “instant on” generation. They think everything they want should happen immediately. The issues will be addressed in time, the wheels of government grind slow but they grind fine.
I don’t know about Colorado but the only reason Wa state legalized the herb was to make money on taxes and really that is all the majority care about. Its the money they want, not the weed.

Why is there no Fed suit against these States for going into conflict with Fed Laws? Arizona was sued for being in concord with Fed Laws.
