“Legal” and “Principles” constitutes an ultimate oxymoron. There is no principle in today’s legalese, only the search for justifications for greed…..and yes, I did notice your “$” substitutes.

And aren’t gov’t SUPPOSED to protect THEIR PEOPLE; not the greed bankers and corporations!? No wonder we have had an explosion of charity groups; since they are the one’s fighting to keep our gov’ts honest! I thought our gov’ts were supposed to sort of be the “independent third party” that would look after MY interests; but that seems to have disappeared long ago…

Good Toon. And casual readers of Catholic Dogma will grasp the Court’s reasoning in all four instances: ’tis the few, the moneyed and the powerful who warrant protection. The common man or woman can go hang; their reward is – literally – in another world.

Vote vote vote. The Founders of the US of A intended the SEPARATION of Church and State, not the COHABITATION.

ALL FOUR should be protected by the First Amendment. Sorensen is a hypocrite. She repeatedly claims corporations don’t have rights. So she LOGICALLY must conclude the government has the right to censor her cartoons that run in corporate-owned newspapers.

We stopped being a nation of laws and became a nation of men a long time ago.

Unlimited SECRET money given to political campaigns by corporations and shadowy interest groups.

Sounds remarkably like what Kansas looks like right now — because it’s been run like a right-wing dream world for the last few years, and its economy tanked as soon as those conservative practices took effect. Funny how it always seems to do that. The theories are always about how the economy falls apart under Democratic rule, but when you look at the actual long-term data, it falls apart when the Republicans get their way instead.

Yeah, you beat me to it. Taking video of any police actions could likely land you in jail for “obstructing an investigation”- and don’t be surprised if your phone or camera mysteriously disappears, or is returned to you “accidentally” smashed into uselessness.

Ah, but you forget the new paradigm. Corporations are people; citizens are “human resources”- to be exploited like any other resource!

The “correct answer” is: all the above.

No way. Corporations are legal fictions designed to dhield the officers from prosecution. Not people.
