Wile E. always survives the cliff. He’s always a little beat up and battered but he survives.

The witch doctor returns from his vacation in Hawaii and uses his mediocre skills learned as a community organizer to force compromise with his screams of ‘tax the rich tax the rich’.

We’ll all be like Wile E Coyote next week. We’ll be stepping off that cliff hanging in mid air waiting for Congress to act then we’ll plummet when no action is taken.

Yeah yeah yeah . . . why not tax the rich? Look at the money they spent on Romney and all those ‘independent’ think-tanks ‘proving’ how anything other than tax breaks for the rich will ‘hurt the economy.’ I say it’s time to apply the second part of Morton’s Fork to the rich. Morton’s Fork, you say? What’s that? The ‘Morton’ was Henry VII’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, ie top tax man. He came up with Morton’s Fork, called that because one way or another people pay. It goes “Hmm. You don’t spend a lot of money, you must have a lot of money saved up to tax! You do spend a lot of money, so you must have a lot of money available to tax!”

More “voo-doo economics”, emphasis on the “doo”!

Close your eyes when we go over the cliff. In cartoon physics you won’t fall unless you look down and see you are suspended in mid air.

Cutting the funding to all those “think tanks” would be a huge way to cut spending.

I suggest that you look up the proportion of small-dollar donors to both the Obama and Romney campaigns before you embarrass yourself further.

Eryx: Or even more so with Greens. They only take support from real, living, individual humans, with a $1,000 cap on that, and still make a respectable showing considering the corporate media prohibits any mention of them – and that includes you, Rachel Maddow, the alleged progressive!

And on the other side is a guy saying “tax the poor, but keep it a secret” “tax the poor but keep it a secret as long as you can”

This cartoon has gained a lot of relevance today (1/1/13) since, technically, the U.S. actually went over the cliff but nothing happened, basically. Good foresight, Mr. Stahler!
