I thought BHO was a white sox fan? … it “raise tax , increase the debt” vs “cut spending, grow the economy”

What a stagnant pond (complete with pond scum)
The Republican Party has become.

@Gresch
Cut spending, grow the economy?
That failed dismally in Europe. Why would it work here?
Returning the tax rate to the 1996 levels would lessen the debt, and government spending, such as rebuilding the infrastructure, would help the economy.
Why is it that such obvious facts are out of the GOP’s vision?

Why not test out your economic theory on massive government spending by printing tons and tons of money… after all it worked in pre-war Europe and post war Argentina… or did it?

It also failed here. Remember Herbert hoover? of course the GOP doesn’t want to cut spending by a plug nickel on wasteful defense projects that even the pentagon doesn’t want.

Hoover had a 55% increase in nominal spending during his term in office. The spending increased from 4% of GDP to 9% of GDP–a doubling of spending in four years.
Hoover did raise tax rates on income and yes the revenues for tax decreased.

The Republican party stands for one thing: tyranny of the minority.

Europe isn´t just one country, and it seems to work fine for Germany – other countries such as Greece and Italy got other issues and its not due to them cutting on spending.
