    It would have been redundant.

    That’s funny. The Maker states (that contribute more to the American Project than they receive back) are labelled “Moochers,” and the Taker states are labelled “Decent Hardworking Americans.” I guess the map shows how conservatives feel about different areas of America, not how they really are.

    Ohman, thank you for recognizing that my state (Florida) is very different from the rest of the Nation!
    And thanks for the laugh! I know I’m a bit paranoid, but not as much as this ’toon depicts!

    @ARodney

    What’s funny is the idea that if you got rid of those decent hardworking americans you would find it very difficult to feed yourself.

    You mean the illegals making the roads, working the fields, and doing all the hard labor most Americans won’t lower themselves to do Bruce?

    I live in California, and we fed the rest of the country during your recent drought, so suck it.

    Good map. I think Austin deserved a shout-out, but it’s not my cartoon.

    The first step in solving a problem is recognizing that there is a problem. Thank you, Mr. Ohman!

    Your insult aside, would you care to prove that California alone fed the nation? Are all these farms in one state?

    http://www.epa.gov/oecaagct/ag101/cropmajor.html

    Corn Belt, traditional area in the midwestern United States, roughly covering western Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, eastern Nebraska, and eastern Kansas, in which corn (maize) and soybeans are the dominant crops.

    And in this next reference you will see California is part of it.

    drought

    Yes, I live in Florida (another state claiming drought) but I still see abundant production from local farmers just as I am sure you do in CA.
