    Gad, a cartoon without a petulant, prissy send-up of Obama in it. You like auto sales, Payne, who was in favor of closing two of the big three down ‘for parts?’ Who financed ’em staying open?

    Just wonder if you notice such stuff…

    Are we still importing GM, Ford, and/or Chrysler products from plants in Mexico, Canada, or overseas?
    I’m glad the companies are doing well, I just wonder how American workers are doing.
    Genome is right, Mr. Payne does like cars.
    Respectfully,
    C.

    All I need is a small car with a 4 banger and CVT or 6 sp auto.
    I don’t understand guys (and some women) who need 1,000 HP.

    I presume you are the poster child for the rednecks.

    Actually, no one wanted to close them down. We just wanted the bankruptcy to go through the legal system, and not violate the laws.

    That way, the results would have kept the companies American, and reorganized.

    Or this classic Chevelle, this beauty was assessable to the average guy, it’s not just about power but beauty as well and the ability to take care of a good piece of equipment yourself. If you notice nine out of ten times a guy who fixes up an old car is usually a pretty good man. He is able to finish projects and stay focused. Met a young kid who fixed up and old Nova a few years back, wish I was more like him at his age. Will Rogers said, “The outside of a car is good for the inside of a man”. The same can be said for the inside of a car.

    It also means that a employee does not have to join a union nor can the company be forced to pay the union from the employee’s paycheck.

    As for firing without cause it is called layoffs.

    @ReasonsVentriloquist

    Sorry Reasons just calling it Slavery doesn’t make it so and just because you want it to be that way doesn’t mean it is. After all it is the Union that makes people join and take’s the worker’s pay, so who is closer to slavery? Last how do you get “it’s about removing any help the worker might otherwise have” from my statement, if people really want that help they can send in their dues every month themselves, or are you one of those guys who don’t believe the average man can take care of himself?
