Good morning, Vagabonds. I just came across a book of cartoons of “The Far Side” where Gary Larsen explains about his work. He could really think outside the box.

And so we begin week four of unrelenting triple digit days.
21 days of 100 or more degrees, and no end in sight. It’s supposed to hit 107 tomorrow.
Alaska is having a heatwave too. There was a picture taken from the ISS of a clear sky. Temps in the mid-90s north of Fairbanks.

    Hi ho Vagabonds.
The day light begins to shrink. Depressing ain’t it. Well not for a while. :-)
    Have fun.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

David: You will wake up Mon. morning and wonder what you are going to do first as your routine has changed, but it won’t take long to get into a new one.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

David………I don’t expect we’ll hear from you tomorrow. But, as you stand and deliver your last Sermon, think back to your GoComics Family. We’ll all be right with you in your heart, cheering you on. May God be with you as you start your new chapter of your life.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

David, Rita has a wonderful way with words, doesn’t she. All I can say is “ditto”.

Slim, triple digits is what we get for choosing to live in the great Mojave desert. My husband and I were talking just last night about how the “cooler” temperatures that we enjoy at night and the setting on our AC thermostat would be considered a heat wave most other places. It is amazing how much living in the desert (for 30 years now) has changed what our bodies think is overly hot. If I had moved here directly from my home town in Oregon, I probably would not have lasted very long here, but moving in gradual stages to more extreme desert heat at each stage has acclimatized me to it.

Dear Vagabonds: I think I’m getting a scam call – tell me what you think. This is already the 2nd time I’ve received this call. A man tells me I’m to receive a medical alert system (from area code 845) and it’s already paid for. I try to interrupt him but he continues as if he doesn’t hear me. To show that he’s talking live, he continues, “Let’s see now…” I then realize it’s a recording and when he asks me to "press “1” to confirm," I hang up.

@Arye: It’s hard to say if it is a scam call but I think if you confirm it you may find out that it is only paid for a short period of time and then you will be billed automatically, on an annual basis, unless you cancel within so many days.
