Good morning, vagabonds. Yesterday I attended a lecture at the senior center about food-born diseases. Did you know that when you sneeze your bacteria in the sneeze can travel over 100 feet? That the kitchen sink is dirtier than your toilet? We had advice on when to put food in the fridge and how to wrap it up. Eggs, etc. should not be put in the door of the fridge but in the fridge itself. Elderly people and babies are more apt to get food born diseases because their immune systems are either weak or not yet developed.

    Morning, Village.
Had an interesting experience yesterday evening. Wife and I were just leaving the house to meet another couple to go out to eat with another couple when the phone rang. It was hospice care, asking me to come to a person’s house for prayer. So we called the other couple and told them we’d be a little late. We went to the dying man’s house and we got the family and friends to gather around the bed and hold hands for prayer. The prayer was completely extemporaneous and unrehearsed. I got to a line where I said something like, “As he departs this earth, we pray your presence with him, your guidance with him, and your comfort.” The man immediately coughed and gave up his spirit. After the prayer, the health care worker examined him and declared him expired. Just like that.

It was so nice that his family and friends were able to be there praying for the release of his soul to the Father. It must have been comforting for his family. Thank you for sharing that with us. Things like that make life worth living.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds.

David……I am moved to tears! What an honor to be with him as he died!

Well, folks, we are back from our mini trip. First off, the book sale was not as successful for us because the library will be closing in July, as the new one is currently being built. Didn’t know, but they stopped taking donations, and were clearing out their storage areas, so the selection wasn’t a great as always. Normally, they have the entire third floor of the library for the sale, and their new facility will only have one small room about 13 ft big. Not sure if we’ll drive all that way (and expense) for a small sale. Sign of the times. :((

The trip was fantastic, though. Clear skies, 58 degrees, a few showers here and there. Went to Fort Smith. Lovely area around the Bighorn River Canyon.

Our younger daughter made it okay to Brazil……she’s there for the week setting up and running a trade show for her company. Can’t wait for all her stories.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

    David, thank you for sharing.

Supposed to get up near 90 today. I think I’ll close up while it is still relatively cool around here.

Good morning, vagabonds. It looks like B y E is gonna use yesterday’s strip for today, so I’ll post now. Yesterday, I won so much at Bingo that my change purse was too heavy, but I’s rather play a game of skill than chance, such as Monopoly of Scrabble.

Movie quiz: What is the name of the movie about an eccentric woman who visits her son or son-in-law in japan?

    Hello, all you happy people.
    .
Well, they did it to us again, no ByE.
Oh well, lets have some lemonaid.
    .
David, you and I must have posted at the same time yesterday, I didn’t read yours until later in the day.
It was like he was waiting for you to pray over him, a true measure of his faith in God.
    .
Cloudy, wet, dismal, need I say more about the day. The bright spot of the day is of course is church.
    .
Montana Lady, do hope your daughter has a good trip and rewarding time with her work.
    .
Well must start to get ready for church.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

IT SNOWED! during the night, and still light snow now. It’s about 3 inches, and 24 degrees! We so need this moisture! It’s been a gentle wet snow, no wind. Trees are all coated white. Just lovely!

By next weekend, we’ll have our windows open again. It’s supposed to be in the 60’s again real soon.

Our daughter is in Sao Paolo, Brazil. She said that they have to build their booth from scratch. No prefab stuff. Wood frame just like house building. She is the manager of the whole event, and the go to person for everything. Last night her crew went out to dinner. It seems like the local mall is the “happening” place. And they went to a sort of food court and had German food. Go figure!

Arye, I don’t have a clue for your movie question. A few more hints, please?

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Arye, I’m with Rita. More hints, please. (Even Michael doesn’t know and that’s saying a lot.)

It got up to 90 yesterday and supposed to be a bit cooler today. (85 instead of 90) We actually turned on the AC for a couple of hours!

We went to a home show at one of the local hotel/resorts yesterday. (Yes, there are a few in Henderson as opposed to Vegas. Henderson is just South of Las Vegas and some of the casino builders wanted to be the first to be seen when arriving from CA.) The show was fair sized and we had fun browsing the new gadgets. We didn’t buy too much this time, something of a miracle for us.
