Morning, Village.Had an interesting experience yesterday evening. Wife and I were just leaving the house to meet another couple to go out to eat with another couple when the phone rang. It was hospice care, asking me to come to a person’s house for prayer. So we called the other couple and told them we’d be a little late. We went to the dying man’s house and we got the family and friends to gather around the bed and hold hands for prayer. The prayer was completely extemporaneous and unrehearsed. I got to a line where I said something like, “As he departs this earth, we pray your presence with him, your guidance with him, and your comfort.” The man immediately coughed and gave up his spirit. After the prayer, the health care worker examined him and declared him expired. Just like that.
