Good morning, Vagabonds.
@Florchi, I can’t remember whether it was the purple color of the jacarandas or bougain (sp?) that I liked when I was in Fort Lauderdale last year. I’m afraid the flowers will be out of bloom by the time of the Turkish festival and I wanted to take a photo so I could match the color with a paint. I was thinking of a molding or a part of a wall of that color (it’s too rich to paint a whole room with that color). The photo you posted last year (I think from Wikipedia) didn’t match the richness of the actual color I saw in life. Would you mind, if you can, of taking a photo of the blooms and posting it here?

Our Gang Trivia –
Where did Stymie get his hat?
Florchi said, 3 months ago
@Arye Uygur
I am pretty sure we posted about the jacaranda tree last year. Here’s how to get dozens of good images:
1) Go to google.com and type “jacaranda tree” in the search box (without the quote marks).
2) After you get the page of results, click on IMAGES in the menu bar across the top of the Google search engine, menu bar should look something like YOU-SEARCH-IMAGES-MAPS, etc., depending on your browser & version.

B y E (above): Given all the trauma to our troops from bombs & IEDs in Iraq, this strip isn’t as amusing as it would have been back when it was first run back in 1991. The copyright appears to be © 1991.

Hello, all you happy people.
.
The weather report this morning was a recording. (snerk)
.
Don’t know David, my contact with “Our Gang” was limited to any station that happened to be running them.
Do you happen to know anything about, I think they were called “The Mischief Makers”. A group of African american kids not unlike the Little Rascals.
.
Well good luck with you painting project Arye.
Good day to all.

Good Morning, Everyone,
It started snowing around 10:30 last night, and it’s still a very light snow. Everything is back to being coated white again, even though it looks like it’s only about an inch accumulation. Since I don’t have to go out today, a beautiful scene, a book and a fire all sound wonderful!

Good morning Vagabonds.
I don’t remember three people sitting around a galley table singing “Show me the way to go home”, but I do remember about 5 or 6 people in a couple of cars driving across the plains of Kenya singing it over their radios. (Yes, the same movie we talked about a couple of weeks ago: “Hatari”)
gorgeous weather here. mid to high 70’s for the past few days. I am loving the fresh air.

Ah…………Hatari!!!! Always brings a smile to my face. :))
This one was made in the 70’s, and it has an Ocean theme. And, the music has a particular theme when there is a “chase” scene.

@dkram
The title “Mischief Makers” was a name given to the Little Rascals films back in the 60’s when the copyright was sold to another company, King Features, I think it was.
