Good morning, Vagabonds. Shirttail Slim, I don’t think I saw you yestreday; I’m glad to see you today.
Yesterday I passed a souvenir store run by Tzotzil Indians fwho came to Merida from Chiapas to sell handicrafts. I spoke to them with a few words of Tzotzil, a Maya dialect, and they asked, “Is your name Arye.”
Something else I remember from many years ago: a handdog stand on a Merida street corner by a huge rain puddle. A car drove past and sprayed the stand with the hotdogs with the rain water from the puddle. i feel very sorry for anyone who consumed those hotdogs.
