    HI, MARG!!!

    Having hockey withdrawals here. Since so many of the players in the WHL are at the NHL prospects games we are in a period of NO games! But our defenseman Seth Jones has been listed as the #1 draft prospect with several others picked to go in the first or second round.

    GRITS

    for them, maybe not so good for us next year. Time will tell. Speaking of time……Akenta???

    Good morning all!

    The AM or PM makes not too much difference: I’m usually awake for both of them.

    This is a rerun from 2/12/2009. Baldo’s arithmetic was bad then and has not been corrected.

    If I fell asleep in that position I would be a stiff, miserable wreck.

    So, is the joke that the math is bad, that he’s looking at the cable box channel and mistaking it for the current time, or is it some reference I don’t get?

    I can’t make much sense of it either. The English version makes more sense as it is twenty to eleven and he responds “who’s winning?”. His eyes in the English version show surprise, but in the Spanish are heavy-lidded. I like this strip but can’t tell yet whether it is conceived in English and translated into Spanish, or vice versa….

    @bobalew

    I’m glad I’m not the only one who wondered if it made sense in Spanish.
    The English was funny. How do you translate “twenty to eleven” into Spanish literally?

    Hola Locos!
    I fell asleep early and forget to say good night last night. But I awoke toasty warm from head to foot, inside and out.

    I thought I had a fever, but discovered that some kind gentleman had put the electric blanket on. Apparently, I was thirsty, and drank some Bookers too. :-D

    Joy- you and pirate went on a party cruise and didn’t invite US? How could you?

    (Don’t answer. No doubt it was easier than I make it sound.)

    I love the present. Every day, I thank God for giving that gift.
