It's the End of Civilization as we know it. A mutagenic plague followed by a global war fought with disintegration weaponry has left much of the Earth a desert of fine powder and what remains of humanity fragmented into humans, animal-like mutants and bloodthirsty monstrosities with lots of teeth. The surface, still teeming with the mutagenic virus, has become the domain of the dreaded Topsiders; well-organized, technologically advanced, and heavily armed un-mutated humans sworn to exterminate mutations of any kind in order to clear the way for the eventual resurgence of a new, genetically clean humanity. Faced with annihilation, mutants and "impure" humans have retreated into the depths of the planet to form communities and hope to win, or at least survive, what may prove to be mankind's final war. Endtown is the continuing story of one of those communities.

Flaaaaask!! \;o;/ I wonder why he kept her separated from Endtown? Would he be able to (or think he could) provide better care for her than they could? Or let her die in peace? Unless she’s already dead, but then why keep the corpse?

A god is defined as all-knowing of mind

And all-powerful, far as that bit goes
We can check off each fact that marks gods in the act
And each attribute.
Aaron Marx? Dittoes.
When we’d think that the task was bringing home Flask
He’s got her sequestered instead
With the feats that we’ve seen (some bizarre, some quite keen)
Will he next raise this cat from the dead?

I was RIGHT!!! Told you so!!
Out like she has been slugged, then swatted.
Now Aaron please tell us how he did that. One minute at End Town and now walla (to coin a French word I don’t know how to spell.)
Love you when you do that !!! Make me right that is.

He opened up a portal as he did to get into Endtown. BUT, didn’t he tell Mallard that he’d be around town? That stuff is probably more dittos to keep her safe from being found by Topsiders.

I still think the guy’s got a thing for Flask. Even the Dr. had a need for a companion.

In the comics, death is temporary. Heck, Harley Quinn (the Joker’s plaything) staged a prison break from HELL. (Literally!) Flask isn’t gone… or if she is, she’ll be back shortly!!!

Yesterday AM shed a tear at the mention of Flask. Now we see he’s taken special steps to rescue her. There must be something unique about his relationship with her. Maybe Marx is Flask’s time-travelling son, come to save her life.

Okay, readers, the time for happiness, giggles and chewing gum is over.
Deep breath. We are about to walk the thorny road of rectification.
It will be a long journey, but if we all stick together, then at the end we will be able to look back with the immense satisfaction of knowing we have grown in strength and insight from our labours.
That’s what Aaron Neathery’s Endtown does. It confronts the reader with an ordeal, takes him/her through every shade of emotion and lands up soft or hard on a remarkable solution, with elegance in crafting, the former pain eventually paying off in spades.
It’s not your usual comic strip. It’s not to everyone’s taste. No-one should be scolded for leaving.
But I plan to stay the course, because I’ve rarely found a story of its equal.
Please take a deep breath and come with me.

“Yesterday AM shed a tear at the mention of Flask. Now we see he’s taken special steps to rescue her. There must be something unique about his relationship with her. Maybe Marx is Flask’s time-travelling son, come to save her life.”
The point I was trying to make yesterday is that Marx laid out the ground rules when he first introduced himself to Wally. Wally wanted to know who he is, and Marx’s reply is “again with the questions!” That he could say that he was Captain Whifflepoof, and with no way to verify it, that Wally would end up spending his life calling Marx “Captain Whifflepoof”. You have to look at everything Marx has said and done since then and ask yourself, is he lying?
He says that he can cross dimensions, that he can swallow explosions, that he got the ship from the Lucranians, that he salvages scrap, that he’s infinite. What we do know is that he has the dittos, and that he can open portals. We don’t know where he got the ship from, but he admitted that he’s not a scrap salvager and he amended the statement to “I’ve only had the ship for 8 hours, and the ship picks up scrap automatically, I just provided cover”. But, the ship can make itself invisible, and Marx just used his dittos to make a distraction to hide the extraction of Flask and team (cover wasn’t necessary). As for the explosion, he could have opened a portal to deep space, with the vacuum sucking the blast out. Regarding the Cinnamon Trout gum – that could have been a regular pack of gum with dittos covering it.
The point is, he doesn’t like giving straight answers to questions, and he’s already told us so. Meaning that tear yesterday is just another lie that Mallard will continue to believe in for the rest of his life. Which might indicate that Aaron is giving Flask a chance to leave Endtown undetected and start up a new life elsewhere. But, not as Marx’s companion – she’s carrying too much baggage to be mobile enough for him.
