Once upon a time there was a duplex where a young bachelor named Eno and his dog, Fang, shared an ultra-macho haven of beer snacks and male-bonding. Suddenly, their lives turned co-ed when Gina and her poodle, Mitzi, moved into the other half of their building... the question is, who will come out on top in Glenn McCoy’s, The Duplex?

Who spends more time on the couch? Eno or
Andy Capp?

Throw the nose off the side of the couch, the body will have no choice but to follow.
Llewellenbruce, is that a trick question?

LLEWELLENBRUCE While my role model may spend more time on thee couch, much of that time is spent upright reading the racing form trying to make a better life for him and Flo. I try to imitate his example but SHE has a bigger broom than Flo’s.

I can’t get excited over a game of hoops either.

at least andy gets up to play pool and exercise his elbow.
wouldn’t surprise me if eno glued himself to the couch.
don’t even go there with what.

I agree, LEW, that Andy is a much better role model, one I’ve admired for many years. Eno has a ways to go, but has a few of the right qualities.

Some sofas are actually like that….they get a grip and just won’t let go.

Oh please, he is being held down by tendrils of something yukky…possibly nose hair that have taken root.

My couch is the same way. It does not like exercise. Getting more food and drink is a different story as it never holds me back. It’s a good couch and I plan to keep it happy.
