Yet another reason I WON’T be shopping at all these stores on or after Thanksgiving; stores that that put “The Almighty Dollar” before allowing their employees to be with their family and friends.

I’m taking names of These Greedy Stores.

Walmart starting wages are above minimum wage.. if this wage is too low than clearly min wage is way too low. This would point to a problem with minimum wage, not Walmart. Walmart jobs are not designed to be full time family supporting jobs anymore than a job at McDonalds is. How is it their fault family people only have this job to support an entire family? If Walmart wasn’t there where would they go? People keep blaming the horse for the bumpy ride when the damn cart is missing a wheel.

I don’t think the issue is the minimum wage itself, I think wages in general have been suppressed in this country. As far as businesses opening on Thanksgiving, the fault lies in us the consumers for patronizing them. Last year I worked for Best Buy and while other stores had started the Thanksgiving shopping trend, they opened earlier on Black Friday, this year they caved.
Having worked 11 Black Fridays in a row, the good lord willing I will never do so again, nor will I shop.
