Mr Kleen, ironic name for ANY lawyer, never mind a mob lawyer!

It’s amazing how much these Dick Tracy writers change story lines so much without building up suspense and then having a dud ending with little to no background throughout the story. For example, when’s the last time any hint of Moon Maid has been seen, and what’s THAT plot all about? Too much dancing around!

Looks like somebody turned bad and bitter after losing the advertising gig . . .

I like the Kadaver character, glad to see that he’ll be back.

Yesterday’s strip was obviously the end of the previous story, or at least it seemed so to me. So I expected to see something new today. As for Moon Maid, we’re supposed to see her later this week. Her full story will take center stage next month.

What’s amazing is that someone has so little patience, in the Gould old days, the stories could last for years, now, make someone wait a few months and they get all huffy

Yup. The following has been announced on this board so many times that I can’t think it’s a “spoiler.” The Moon Maid mystery will become the main story in April, probably toward the end of the month. We’re supposed to see Mrs. Chin Chillar (Notta Fallar) at some point, too!

Won’t come soon enough for me. In the meantime, I like this beginning to the new story. Question though, didn’t Abner Kadaver escape during the wrapup to the Mr. Crime story? I don’t remember seeing him in custody.

And maybe I wasn’t paying attention well enough back then, but I thought B-B Eyes and Doubleup snuffed it?

“She and her husband bumped off Mr. Bribery, right?”

Exactly. They lost the $100K, though, when it burned up in a high speed dive. A scene from that story:

Wow….remember those days, when so many characters were portrayed smoking?

Of course, now I look back at today’s strip and see that the three silhouettes are smoking cigars!

In the Dick Locher days, stories could also last for years…but for a different reason.

Oh they won’t sing. The Mumbles Quartet sang and look where it got them! Got them! (Oh no, Not more of Doubleup, Doubleup.) Here we go again, again.

Oh, bother! I’d SO hoped that the new story would be about the Moon Maid mystery. Am I cross!
