Behold, an un-pale horse with no name. Oh, wait. His name is Horace. And he's sarcastic. And silly. And lives in an infinitely expandable world. And sometimes gets slapstuck. And day after unpredictable day he boldly goes where no horse -- let alone a comic strip -- has gone before. Yes, there are sidekicks; a bird, a lady horse, a never-seen neighbor. And if the post-it note did not exist, Samson would have had to invent it so Horace would have yellow panels in which to play. Welcome to the bright side of the world. May the horse be with you.

Perhaps this is more a comment on Horace’s gastrointestinal processes occurring under the blanket?

Electric pads should only be needed for illness. My silk quilt is yummy in the coldest weather, and a silk (or silk blend) sheet is enough to cover in warm weather (or nothing at all) ;-D

Yeah, it’s a guitar reference. Uh, this one sounded funnier when I wrote it…

Horace unplugged.

I thought he was using flatulence to stay warm, to be honest.

No, it’s great! I just spent a minute or two thinking like RocketScientist above.
It’s a strip like this one that explains why I read Horace every day, and refuse to read, say, Fred Bassett.

I dunno. It struck a chord with me.

From A-sharp blanket to A-flat blanket.

At least it’s not a gasoline-powered blanket; those smell awful.

That’s a pretty minor pun. But then mine was probably diminished too.

When I see your avatar, I think of the sound this horse makes:

Epic, Samson. As a guitarist I always refer to acoustic blankets, acoustic typewriters, etc. My father was a master farrier, and I appreciate so much that Horace seems always to be well-shod. Your strip is a joy; its surrealism is very exactly the way I think. Cheers.
