Behold, an un-pale horse with no name. Oh, wait. His name is Horace. And he's sarcastic. And silly. And lives in an infinitely expandable world. And sometimes gets slapstuck. And day after unpredictable day he boldly goes where no horse -- let alone a comic strip -- has gone before. Yes, there are sidekicks; a bird, a lady horse, a never-seen neighbor. And if the post-it note did not exist, Samson would have had to invent it so Horace would have yellow panels in which to play. Welcome to the bright side of the world. May the horse be with you.

Hurrah! The winner and new champion… No sheep were harmed in the making of today’s strip. That first panel was priceless, BTW.

Once, I dreamed the alarm went off on the bedside clock. I got up and started getting dressed, only to figure out 15 minutes later that I had 3 1/2 hours more to sleep.
Then I had insomnia!

When I realize that I’m asleep, I usually wake up. Sometimes, though, I will have lucid dreams. Those are fun.

This dream has a certain ring to it. He’ll be saved by the bell, until he gets alarmed enough to turn it off.
+++++
Nobody ever beat insomnia with eyes open.
