I may be out of high school since 2003, but I need to work on my read: H.G. Wells’ “Time Machine” followed by his “Invisible Man” (it’s a one-volume book with both stories; bought it about a year ago from Barnes and Noble).

Sounds like a postcard by Donald Fraser Gould McGill. One of his postcards, featuring a bookish man and an embarrassed pretty woman sitting under a tree, with the caption: “Do you like Kipling?” / “I don’t know, you naughty boy, I’ve never kippled!”, holds the world record for selling the most copies, at over 6 million.

Hey, Alice! Did you get that book from Lio?
(Giant squids are very much the in thing just now. Besides the ever-loving Ishy at Lio, today a giant squid also features at Scary Gary)

Ok, when the reruns first started, I was fine with it. on the second week, I was frustrated. On the third week, I nearly went insane. But now, I’m just worried. is Richard okay?

You won’t be disappointed. I loved those books.

Just remember that the language may be difficult because the books were written over 100 years ago but once you get on a roll the language becomes beautiful.

True classics don’t need costumed heroes, explosions, and car chases.

    Happy reading!

This has always been one of my favorites. Poor Petey is going to spend the next month in his room getting over being traumatized by Alice’s squid.

Yes, poor Petey. It’s no wonder he is the way he is.

“Okay Petey.”. Mom is so tolerant. Thank goodness for that as otherwise those two could raise her blood pressure.
