Although Jackson did do a few good things from the White House, and being a slave-owner aside, Jackson was BRUTAL toward native Americans in the South!
I have no problem with Jackson as slave owner – it was quite common in the South during his time. As an indigenous American, however, I do have a bit of a problem with the way he went about cavalierly killing the natives and appropriating their lands, but, then that’s just me.

Almost everyone was a slave owner then. Plus how much money did your country make on buying and selling slaves. One has to build on what is now.
