Exactly right! Now all the righties will pile on to say Bennett’s wrong, and probably, “racist liberal”. Hmmm, where’s the junction with U.S. 127???

It’s OK to blame Obama, even for things that happened before 2009 but never Bush, even including things that happened before 2009…right wing logic.

I’m not right wing, but I find this hyperbole a bit much. People have been blaming Bush for things for 5 years. Both parties do this.

That’s my point. There are a number of people here who constantly blame Obama for all sorts of (usually unspecified) things and yet complain bitterly when when someone blames Bush. Either we all grow up and realize that reality is not so simple that you can attribute responsibility in such a limited way, or we go the way of the dinosaurs

Noooo. I don’t think the Right blames Bush for anything.

PAJ stated an opinion which race was not a part of, this comment and animation goes a long ways towards proving his point.
I disagree with PAJ on most points and occasionally find him obnoxious.
I sure wish you would quit making him look so good. It is embarrassing to liberals with common sense.

Got it. That makes more sense. Thanks for the thoughtful reply.

I neither said specifically, nor inferred that they do.

Great cartoon. He’ll walk around the front of the vehicle for a little light bumper snack before he asks some cop to help change his tire. Then he’ll gripe about the disrepair to the socialist highway paid by our tax dollars. He’ll probably gripe to the officer that Obama wants to restrict cop killer bullets, large clips, and assault weapons, to the cop who helps change his tire. http;//

Use that head for something other than a hat rack dude.

This is supposed to be a cartoon. It reflects a bad attitude BUT it is based in some facts.

The economy – despite all the media support and the administrations fuzzy math – is STILL not “in recovery”. Yes, the stock market (rich people) is going gangbusters. BUT that is NOT where the middle class make their funds.

So this dude – a working stiff evidently – has a flat tire. Has spare is already getting fixed and he really needs to buy a set BUT he happens to be out of work and has been for the last 2 years> Yes, he gets food assistance, phone assistance and medical assistance at the ER but NO ONE is going to help with the gas and the maintenance on the truck.

Obama is now and has been for 5 years in charge of improvements on the economy.

So you are right Doc. Oh yeah!

Clay Bennett contributes to a Chattanooga paper. US 127 runs north and west of that City. If he lives close to his job, it could be a junction with Tenn 8, 28, 111, 283, or US 27 all of which intersect US 127

Bruce: Thanks, I was seriously curious because I figured it might well relate to “local mentalities”! Just figured with an odd number, must be headed north to south, as opposed to east-west!

Read up on what Bush did during his presidency and you’ll see why most of our problems continue because of his idiocy:

Invades two countries and leaves the mess to the current president to fix.

Gave tax breaks for corporations to outsource jobs overseas (tax breaks that have been extended in exchange for unemployment benefits),

Semi-privatized the military (old joke about how a contractor will do a military job for $100, Halliburton does the same job for $1,000 and hires the guy who will do it for $100).

Destroyed the economy when he passed the Commodities and Futures act which allowed banks to sell sub prime mortgages as assets on the stock market. BTW trying to find out who owns those mortgages is next to impossible, which has given rise to a new type of scam.

Gave gubbermint money to those same banks for every home that was foreclosed, which is why they are bent on making it impossible to help people save their houses.

Passed no child left behind which is wrecking havoc on the public education system.

Gave us the porno scanners at the airports.

Increased audits on the middle class and eased audits on the wealthy (remember his speech about elitist being his base? If not Google it).

    Sent Martha Stuart to jail.

Put all of the war expenses in the emergency fund instead of the general budget (cooking the books as they say)

And the guy who is in the white house is trying to fix this mess, but the house is more interested in doing the opposite of what he wants.
