    I understand the joke to be that they being a gang of kids duffed up a kid called Filthy Rich. He was not rich but dirty. Have a misunderstood this totally?

    what’s that dark figure in the trees? looks like Death looking over Calvin and Hobbes as their going down the hill towards their unavoidable disaster at the bottom
