Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Hey, it’s Calvin and Hobbes, not delusional man approaching middle age.

Evidence of Dad’s extreme selective blindness.

I love how Watterson gives us a glimpse into the parents’ lives. :)

I’m mostly with Dad but I’m a firefighter/paramedic recovering from an accident and cannot wait to get back to my own version of the real world. Even riding my own bike into town and back, for therapy, is barely edging out my sanity.

@M2MM
Actually Watterson wasn’t a Calvin as a kid but is very much Calvin’s dad.

@Aaron: Good luck and hurry up on that recovery will ya. We need you. And listen, this “sanity” you speak of. What’s that like?

Riding my bike on the rural roads around here allows me much appreciated quality time with my iPod.

If you ever see one of the few pictures of Watterson ever released, he either looks like Calvin’s Dad with a moustache, or Uncle Max with kempt hair and glasses.

We won’t go into my opinion of cyclists on the highways, only to say they should keep to the biking trails.

@gmartin997
Or my opinion of cyclists who ignore the wide, empty bike lane on one side of a city street, and peddle down the sidewalk on the opposite side playing Dodge the Pedestrian.

Side walks are a no-no. Imagine a car turning left into a driveway on a city street, only to have to unexpectedly (people don’t “see” us in the road, much less the sidewalk) stop for the bike ……right in front of car it was trying to turn in front of.

Calvin and Hobbes without Calvin or Hobbes.
