Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

I don’t think that was ever mentioned in invertebrate biology, but that’s actually a good question since so many animals get dizzy or the equivalent from moving around like that.

(true story) Three of us went on a boat trip from the Fl Keys to NY. In the morning we would blow our nose and let it run down our face. We took turns rating each other’s display. Oh, those were the days!

I always thought bugs got dizzy and barfed from reading in a moving car.

Of course you did this bit of high-brow jocularity while standing on your head.

Flies do barf. On everything they eat. The digestive juices break down their chosen food so they can suck it up in that little tube that serves as a mouth.
So when they land on some dung or a dead whatever, and then land on your plate…
Now, that’s gross.

…or at lunch, in my case.
But vomiting insects are interesting. Actually, to me, any insect is interesting.
Did you know mosquitoes spit into your blood to keep it from clotting in their mouths?
