Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

So this is how political correctness started, right here with this strip. I think we should hang Bill Watterson!

Knowledge has grown so enormously in this days, it’s impossible to know everything, you can sit and learn all days and nights long. It’s better to beleeve in god and trust he will do it for you, seek friens, who have an other part of knowledge and work together with them!

Will all you political pundits knock it off? Can’t you figure out that the self-esteem plague has become reality? Watterson foresaw this!

Most of the commenters complaining about the self-esteem plague have no clue what they’re talking about. I spend a lot of time working with kids and can tell you that the schools hold them accountable. There a difference between believing in yourself – which drives kids to work hard – and thinking you deserve everything for simply being you – which is the grand old tradition of our old wealthy families who hand down fortunes and send their kids to boarding schools.

Unfortunately, things haven’t changed much in the world of education. No wonder America isn’t an innovator anymore.
