Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

An only kid is like this. With several more, Mom was never too worried about us.
It didn’t hurt that back in the ‘60s and ’70s, we didn’t worry about child abductions the way people do now.

Yeah, my childhood was in the 70s and I was an only child until I was 10; I spent a lot of time outside, by myself. Now, I never let my own daughter out of my sight. I worry some about her developing independence and so forth, but it is by far the lesser of evils.
