As I remember Halloweens past, I sure could have used a good cup of joe the next morning. We used to make huge hauls in the late 50s and early 60s. Much of it homemade before pervs began to poison or put foreign objects in goodies. One old lady on the bloc gave each kid two HUGE popcorn balls made with boiled honey. Delicious. Other treats and candy bars and things were as good. But man, coming down off the sugar high was a bummer. Of course, after the first night, we saved and rationed out the rest of the hoard, trying to make it last until Easter, the next big candy haul date.
