Visually clever. If Obamacare is so bad, why not do the smart thing and replace it with a single-payer system?

Oh, yes, let’s remove any market forces at all and have the same people who have brought us the post office, VA and the wonderfully efficient welfare system(s) make our health care decisions.

Actually, Obamacare is a huge deal for me. I am self-employed, and very, very grateful that I’ll finally be able to purchase health insurance in a free marketplace. Conservatives would be rejoicing too, if they actually understood how it works. It’s their plan, after all.

When NBC News tells us in 2014 we will pay double for our Company Sponsored Health Care over what we paid in 2013…"

Insurance companies are mandated to spend at least 80% of your premiums on actual health care. Anything beyond that must be refunded. Why would your premiums double?

Because to some people, anything that doesn’t put cash in a CEO’s pocket is morally wrong.

You were actually on the money until you mentioned the post office. While the butt of many jokes it is probably the best run government organization there is. We would be VERY fortunate if Obamacare ran like the post office.

Yes, how awful that people’s money now goes towards their healthcare instead of a CEO’s bonus. And parents no longer have to go bankrupt if their kid gets leukemia. Damn that Obamacare.

Amazing the “right” is so opposed to “Romneycare lite” that hasn’t even kicked in yet, and THEY inserted the "private insurer mandate, and no negotiating drug prices, that promise to add and retain the greatest costs to health care!!

The Republicans are selling a 9 inch diameter catheter, and saying they’re plans are better???

I mailed a parcel yesterday. $12.45 and guaranteed two day delivery. The same package and delivery time would have been at least double that with UPS or Fedex. $.46 to mail a letter is dirt cheap. If you insist on paying a lot more, feel free. That reminds me of GOP fiscal policy…
Sure an how much money was spent by the post office to actually move that package? Factor in all the people who have to handle it and the government deals it took to keep them employed and the money the post office is losing year after year. Then tell me again how much it cost to mail that package.

“…tell me again how much it cost to mail that package”.

    $12.45. Exactly.

yeh, liberal math, Spend others money and call it even. You missed the point. The post office is losing money for two reasons. 1 congress will not allow them to change how they do what they do in order to do it better. 2. fully funded long term golden retirement packages. Yes right now they are not apart of the USA budget. BUT they at one time where paying their own bills and not going into debt. Fact is it cost them much more to move package from point A to Point B then they are charging. How much more? Well they are spending more money than they have. So what is the REAL cost? I don’t know. But the other companies have to break even and then turn a profit! They have to charge REAL cost in order to do so. The post office CAN NOT charge what it takes because they have congress over sight!

^ Agreed. Socialism cannot work here; America will only survive if we bring in fascism.
