    I hope he remembers that line when she’s in labor and the baby won’t come, although people with chronic pain tend to be a bit more sympathetic toward pain in others.

    Not from what I’ve witnessed. Every month-cramps, break a nail, etc. May not complain about pain as much, but everything else, yeah.

    My wife use to have the same attitude towards the suffering of others. At least that was her attitude until God allowed events to occur in her life to bring some suffering in her life. Now she is more sympathetic to the infirmities in the lives of others, even to the infirmities that she has not experience in her life.

    The same has occured to me. I can sympathize with her dificulties and pains even though I can not empathize with many of them.

    Well back pain did kill JFK.Seems he hurt his already ,injured in WWII,back the week before with a youg woman and was wearing a back brace ,keeping him from ducking after the first shot.
