I liked GL! It was sort of hokey yes, but classic DC always was…

My wife and I both have trouble sitting through a movie in the theater, usually wait for DVDs
By the time they come out we’ve heard enough about most movies to answer the buy or rent question
For me most comic book based movies are a buy, maybe GL can wait until it hits the markdown racks

Rain will do that to me every time. Movies, not so much.

sleep? he must be hard of hearing; the sound level and explosive sound effects of today’s movies are brain shatteringly LOUD, to the point of need of earplugs

Hey! I happen to like the Green Lantern film and I thought they did a great job with it.

Are you sure you don’t mean the recent Green Hornet film, instead?
linwoodbragg said, almost 2 years ago
No I meant Green Lantern. The one that got poor reviews and was 26% on Rotten Tomatoes and hasn’t even made back its budget. I loathed it.

I’m sure you meant GREEN HORNET, not Green Lantern. Wife gets them mixed up also.

A lot didn’t like GL for some reason.

It was okay right up to the end when they made it obvious there was a sequel planned and what the plot would be. Wife liked it a lot, but she has about 2500 comic books in the closet. There were many jokes I missed completely, because I don’t read comic books.
