Arlington, Texas, which is NOT Dallas, managed to attract the DALLAS Cowboys, whose stadium should have been in Dallas, not in another county in a town that is really aligned with Fort Worth. I wonder if the taxpayers got their money’s worth with two big stadiums a stone’s throw apart.
In Oklahoma City a new basketball arena will be built with almost no investment from the Thunder management. It’s what happens when a team threatens to move elsewhere.
The people who own these teams, with the possible exception of the Green Bay Packers, are wealthy people who could easily afford to build their own stadium. I suspect the economic impact of these teams and this investment is less than claimed.
Yes. I also wonder when people type “ur” for “your,” how much time they think they save, especially as I don’t read that as “your,” I read it as “urrrrr.”
A whole crowd of people caught up in a frenzy; just like their idol, people who have no understanding of any actual issues. Democrats have better things to do than idol worship.
You mean the one deliberately written so that Democrats wouldn’t vote for it? The one that allocated no money to pay for it? Putting it on the Senate floor would only be performative, you know it wouldn’t pass. Whereas the one written by Demos and Republicans, that gave up tons of stuff on the Democratic side, got torpedoed by the guy who wants to prolong the problem for his own purposes.
This is as opposed to Mitch M, who didn’t bring Merrick Garland to the floor because he KNEW they would confirm him.
