   Canned vegetables are nasty. My mom used to try to make me eat that nasty slimy canned spinach. One time she pushed too far and I almost puked. She stopped trying to make me eat spinach. But when I got older and tasted fresh spinach, I realized I love the taste of spinach. Just not the putrid canned kind.

   Actually they are, but you have to try private mode to see what it allows you to do.

   Private mode is not the same as an ad-blocker. I hate to try to describe the difference (and show my dumbness). I’ve never looked in Chrome to see if it has a private mode, but Firefox does. Try it sometime on annoying sites and you’ll see the difference. It also will let you into sites that only allow you two or three instances, like maybe the NY Times.

   …if I wanted to pay $20 for it. I’m not made of money and everyone now is begging for money and more money. Besides, GC is not the only site with ads that hijack the web page.

    Perhaps the numbers haven’t actually dropped, but use Private Mode on their browser because the ads on GC are so annoying.
