    That episode was written by Earl Hamner I believe. I used to watch Twilight Zone when it first ran during my grade school days. I was turning through the dial as a middle aged adult and came in on the part where the man said if he couldn’t take his dog in he wasn’t going and I had to see the rest of the show!I will turn 70 this year and I still think that is my favorite episode.

    Today’s strip reminds me that when I used to read Fred Basset in the 1960s [in the Chicago Tribune] the Tucker twins seemed to be Fred’s nemesis (among others). In the last years they have gotten along well [like when the dogs play soccer with the kids].

    There used to be a place in the 7100 block of Cottage Grove Avenue in Chicago that sold Chitlin Pizza back in the 1970s. I never tried it though.
