Fashion designer ‘normal’ is nowhere near the same as real people ‘normal’
So much for sitting around the fire last night – the wind picked up too much for safety. Ah well, we did get to clean out the ashes and stock the bar fridge so we are all set for next time – hopefully tonight although the wind is still quite brisk.
Having spent a few weeks there every summer in my early teens (long long time ago) I agree. Even as a visitor (from small town not city) I did not like the idiots that appeared every weekend. The bikers that stayed at a motel just a few lots away from my grandmother’s cottage on the river were pretty friendly though.
Sorry Cathy. You do not have the body style that they had in mind when they designed them.
Yea! The fire ban has been lifted. It is nice enough that we will probably be able to stare into some flames later this evening (no outdoor burning before 6:00pm) . I hope you have had a great day and are looking forward to a fun weekend.
I think Cathy has set her expectations a little high. No way she will get any compensation when, and not if, those suits break her heart. Ah well, that is our Cathy.
Another fine midweek day – and the lawn needs mowing again… Enjoy your day.
It seems we have redefined relaxed with overeating and not exercising.
The fire near us is being held now and is not expected to get any larger. The rain yesterday helped a lot. With the overcast sky I cannot determine if there is still visible smoke coming from the fire. Everyone is really happy that the fire did not reach the town of Cobalt as we all still have vivid memories of the fire in 1977 that destroyed over 1/3 of the town.
Because the men at the top who have the suits designed want to see more of a woman’s thighs and hips. Just look at the swim suits that female Olympic competitors have to wear. A sad comment on the times we live in.
We are getting some much needed rain today. While we were away last week there was a large forest fire near our neighbouring community. Fortunately the heavy winds did not direct the fire to the town although there was an evacuation warning just in case the wind changed. Two water bombers were brought in to help control the fire and that seems to have helped a lot. Maybe today’s rain will put the fire out.
If you don’t like my shoes (or socks) please tell me so I will know you are too shallow for me. On second thought, don’t bother. I am not available anyway so don’t care.
Two days of driving, one there and one back, were worth every minute to spend two days playing on the floor with my grandson on his first birthday. Miss him already. Yes, it has been a very fast year!
No way the blame can fall on me. I have spent my life sharpening the skill of blaming everyone else – unless, of course, it really is my fault, which it usually is.
Anybody need some wind? We have a little too much today, and over the last weekend, so I would like to get rid of some. I have to mow the lawn today and I really hate the clippings and dust blowing back into my eyes. Ah well, it is not snowing.

I hope everyone is enjoying this fine Saturday.
