They’re still taking applications for the large intestine. Look no further than the VP hopefuls.

So it’s the gun striking the finger (with its trigger) rather than the finger striking the trigger? This reminds me of the childhood bully who accused his victim of hitting him on the fist with his face…

One could easily argue that it is the recoil action of the gun causing the next round to be fired, albeit through an alternate mechanism.

I would ask this: If I weld 6 to 8 AR15s into a cylindrical configuration, put is on an axis to be able to rotate such that an eccentric ring through the trigger guards depresses each trigger once per rotation, with a hand crank to drive the rotations, is that a machine gun? If not, then Gatling guns are legal.

I saw your comments as quite reasonable. I can see the hobby nature of guns, and those who view it that way seem to have a healthy respect for the potential danger and the need to constrain the use and presence of guns.

With bump stocks, the fact that they significantly reduce the accuracy of the weapon while increasing the rate of fire speaks volumes as to the use. There is no civil purpose. Period.

First, if “weight of the federal government” is applied to quash a story, there ought to be some evidence of it. So far the Republicans have come up with nothing like that. If you want to see what using the government to quash something, look no further than Trump firing Jeff Sessions and replacing him with Bill Barr, who subsequently did everything he could to quash the Muller Report. Remember the redactions, and Barr’s softball summary?

Second, John Edwards was put on trial for an offense similar to Trump. He was found innocent because the jury felt there was credibility to the claim that he was motivated by protecting his wife (who had cancer at the time) from exposure to his dalliance. It seems that the Trump jury felt the motivation in his case was to prevent the damage to his campaign.
