   I survived three years as a caregiver when my wife contracted ALS; she didn’t. Not especially humorous.

   As a favor, I went out with a friend’s sister, who was visiting from New York. She had lived a totally urban existence. She was TERRIFIED of my kitten. “What’s it going to do?”

   She apparently got over her fear of animals. Years, later, my friend showed me a photograph of her with two large dogs who “assisted” her with her aerobics exercise TV show in Austria.

   Many dogs are blinded, either temporarily or permanently by insects and other objects which hit them when they are hanging out the window of a moving vehicle. When I was young, one of our dogs fell out the window on a turn. It’s not safe just because the dog likes it.

   If I go to a new site and see the cookies acceptance screen, I either take the time to “reject all” or immediately close the site. My life has not suffered for lack of all those “helpful” cookie-based features.
