But then the grouch noticed small Cindy Lou, a little second-grader who sat in Row Two. "Our holiday's ruined," she started to cry. At this the grouch looked down, and sighed a loud sigh. He began to remember what it was like to be seven, to be filled with the excitement of Christmas break heaven. He recalled Christmases long, long ago spent not doing homework, but playing in snow.
