    I probably mentioned it before, but there’s a YouTube channel called “shango066” (without the quotes). He, well, doesn’t like modern TV and radio sets from the 1980s onward; so mostly vacuum tube sets. Well worth the time watching him resurrect these once considered dead relics. Although, beware: some of his commentary may bother some sensitive people. It can be funny, but still…

    By then, I would’ve said “Good riddance” to that old tube circuit TV and a warm welcome to a new solid state TV.

    Let this be a PSA to those still using TVs made before the 1980s. Don’t leave them plugged in when not using them. That’s just a fire waiting to happen.

    Meh.

    My old man let out a string of expletives in front of me and my sister (during different projects around the house) when we were kids, yet we turned out okay. Although, I’ve taken upon myself not to repeat those same words around others, unless they’re close friends who don’t really care.

A junk circuit board he found in a dumpster was analyzed and reworked to turn it into a guitar amp for Brian May to use. You can hear the amp in action on “Killer Queen” and other hit songs.
